S. V. Krishnamoorthy Rao (1952-1956): Rao was the first Speaker of the Rajya Sabha. He was a member of the Indian National Congress and served as the Speaker from 1952 to 1956.

M. Venkaiah Naidu (2019-present): Naidu was re-elected as the sixteenth Speaker of the Rajya Sabha after his resignation from the post in 2019. He continues to serve as the Speaker of the Rajya Sabha till date. As the Speaker, he has been instrumental in ensuring smooth functioning of the house, maintaining decorum and upholding the democratic values of the Indian Constitution.
